BIOGRAPHY
Encouraged from a young age by her parents and art teachers, Ronda pursued her artistic studies through scholarships and specialized art programs during her primary and secondary school years in Cranston, Rhode Island.
She went on to study drawing and photography at Rhode Island College and furthered her education in life drawing and fashion illustration through the Continuing Education program at the Rhode Island School of Design. Ronda continued her figure drawing studies with renowned artist Antonio D’Attoro and began taking painting workshops with acclaimed painter and educator Anthony Tomaselli.
In recent years, Ronda has continued to expand her artistic skills under the guidance of many accomplished artist-instructors as a Patron Member of the historic Providence Art Club.
Ronda embraces life’s celebrations and treasures time spent with family and friends. She also has a deep appreciation for music and entertaining, qualities that are reflected in the lively, colorful spirit of her paintings.
STATEMENT
My paintings celebrate the energy, movement and emotion found in life’s most memorable moments. I am drawn to those brief, fleeting instances that can easily pass unnoticed -a dancer caught in the sweep of a twirl, a singer poised to hit a soaring note, or the shared laughter of family and friends gathered.
With the use of vibrant color and expressive brushwork, I try to capture not only what these moments look like, but also how they feel. Music, celebration, and human connection are recurring themes in my work. I am especially fascinated by how the rhythm and movement unites people and makes lasting memories.
Through my paintings, I aim to capture moments filled with joy, anticipation, and energy, inviting viewers to connect with them through own memories and experiences.
